And very time-consuming work. Not 100% satisfied with anything I have done so far, but eventually I will get the hang of it. I am learning so much from this. Which happens to be my very first film project ever! I haven't worked with film yet, so this was challenging and exciting. I am slowly learning how to edit with QuickTime Pro... it really isn't as easy as I thought it would be. This Rough-cut is created completely from Still Photographs I took on my Drift 2 Soundwalk:

Drift #2 Production Strategy

Starting Point - I want to start my Drift 2 at the North point of Drift 1's Star shape, which happens to be the home base of a baseball diamond.

Drifting Strategy - I will head counter-clockwise to each point area of the Hexagon shape. Covering the grounds, roads, paths, alleys, secret nooks and crannies, capturing sounds and images as I drift/explore within a Hexagon shaped area.

My Image Capturing Strategy - My main goal is to capture images and film of both natural (trees, water, plants, animals...) and man made (buildings, roads, signs, fences) elements. I plan on capturing 3 different collections of these images:

1 - Texture & Pattern
I will capture close-up images of different textures found naturally and created by man. With an emphasis on capturing shapes and patterns.

2 - Nature Meets Man-made
I will capture images of where nature and man made elements collide/overlap. Capturing where they work together gracefully, in harmony, and where they fight to push away, destroy or control the other.

3 - Light & Shadow
I will capture the change of light through out a day and how it changes the feel and look of the natural and man made scenes. Emphasis on shadows, shine and reflection.

Hopefully from these 3 collections, either separate or mixed together, I can create an interesting final piece. We will see.
.

Drift Area Map

Drift Area Map for both my "Drift 1" and "Drift 2" Film 116 Class Adventures!

Drift 1 = Yellow Star Area - Click here to see my Drift 1 Blog

Drift 2 = Blue Hexagon Area - Click here to see my Drift 2 Blog
